    Caramel Apple Upside-Down Cake
     
    While this cake looks impressive, it is easy to make and can be whipped up in a burry for unexpected guests . Imagine their arrival in a home warmed by the scent of apples and cinnamon---they will feel truly special!
     
    INGREDIENTS                              
    1/3 cup caramel topping                                               1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cups peeled , thinly sliced apples (Granny                1/2 cup low-fat buttermilk , shaken
     (Granny Smith or other tart variety )                            1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour                                               2/3 cup brown sugar , packed
    1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour                                  5 tablespoons Landoflive baking olive oil
    1/4 cup wheat germ                                                      2 eggs
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda                                            1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
     
    PREPARAION
    1.Preheat the oven to 350° F and coat a 9-inch square baking dish with Landoflive baking olive oil.
    2.Drizzle the bottom of the pan with the caramel topping----it will not coat the bottom completely . Layer in the apple slices , overlapping evenly .
    3.In a large bowl , combine the flours , wheat germ ,baking soda , cinnamon, and salt .
    4.In another large bowl , whisk together the buttermilk , vanilla extract , brown sugar , Landoflive baking olive oil, and eggs until smooth . Add the applesauce and whisk until well blended .
    5.Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir just until combined . Pour the batter over the apple slices .
    6.Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean .
    7.Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes . To remove from the pan , place a plate upside down on the top of the cake and invert. Serve warm.

    食材:  
    1/3杯焦糖的                                 1/2茶匙盐
    2杯去皮、苹果薄片                      1/2杯低脂牛奶,摇匀
    (绿苹果或其他酸种类)                  1茶匙香草精       
    3/4杯面粉                                      2/3杯红糖,
    1/2杯全麦饼面粉                           5汤匙欧榄烘焙专用橄榄油
    1/4杯小麦胚芽                               2个鸡蛋
    1/2茶匙小苏打                               半杯不加糖的苹果酱
    1茶匙肉桂
     
    步骤:
    1.预热烤箱至177℃F和外套一个9英寸方形烤盘涂抹上欧榄专用橄榄油。
    2.洒焦糖在锅的底部,但不要完全套住底部。分层堆积在苹果切片,均匀地重叠。
    3.在一个大碗里,倒入面粉,小麦胚芽,发酵粉,桂皮,和盐。
    4.在另一个大碗,把脱脂牛奶,香草精,红糖,欧榄烘焙专用橄榄油,和鸡蛋,充分搅拌混合,再加入苹果酱   搅拌直到再次充分混合。
    5.将湿的成分添加到干燥和搅动,只是直到相结合。面糊在苹果切上.
    6.烤35分钟或直到牙签插入蛋糕中心能干净拔出来。
    7.把烤盘放在钢丝架冷却 10 分钟。若要能撤掉烤盘,安置一块板材颠倒在蛋糕的上面并且倒置 。
